Current Exhibits

Posted on June 10, 2014

This was captured in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on a free Tuesday. I’ve seen all of the current exhibits but I had some time to kill so I started looking for something to photograph. I really liked the way the light was coming thru these windows and the pattern created by the scaffolding made a great backdrop. These two women were doing nothing more than making their way from one station to the next. But I caught them is such a way that it feels like there’s a story going on in the scene. I like how the right women’s silhouette melds with the computer kiosk while the other women’s figure is free from constraints and feels like it’s breaking away. Maybe I’m reading more into to this than need be but the metaphors is very intriguing.

Test of Time

Posted on June 9, 2014

This was shot in Oakland last month and I just getting around to posting it. This was shot on my Sony A7, uploaded to my iPad on the BART on my ride home and processed with Adobe Lightroom Mobile. Today’s tech is wonderful for what you can do in a very short time period but the problem is, you can move on to something new before you finish what you were working on. I have so many photos that you may never see just because I have such a short attention span! But one thing I am learning is to come back and revisit photos after some time has past. If I took a good photo, it should stand a short test of time.

San Francisco City Hall

This is not your typically postcard shot of San Francisco. That’s the city hall in the background which is an incredible building. I like how this photo has a contemporary yet historic feeling to it.
